It has been exceptionally quiet at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport since January 2021. Apart from a few domestic and cargo flights, there isn't much going on. The background to this is that the government has ordered an extensive closure to international traffic. Nothing about that will change anytime soon.
Although the travel restrictions are to be lifted gradually, the number of possible entries will be limited to 1.000 per day. Initially, these are primarily open to people with the citizenship of Israel and the Green Pass (proof of vaccination). The number of daily entries is to be increased gradually.
But people who do not have a vaccination need a special permit to leave the country. On top of that, foreigners need a permit to enter the country and the cards stating that this will be issued in future without proof of vaccination are not good.
