The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus was able to land a larger order for the A220 and A320neo series at the end of the year. Aviation Capital Group, a subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation, signed a letter of intent to acquire 20 Airbus A220s.
40 aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family have been ordered on a fixed basis. Five of these will be the long-distance A321XLR model. “We are pleased to expand our portfolio with further aircraft from the A220 and A320neo families. These state-of-the-art aircraft will support ACG's strategic goal of offering our airline customers the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, ”explains ACG CEO Thomas Baker.
Airbus Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer added: “The order is another gratifying confirmation of our single aisle products from one of the world's leading aircraft asset managers, ACG and the Tokyo Century Group. It also strongly affirms the A220 as an increasingly sought-after aircraft and investment in the commercial aviation landscape. We congratulate and thank ACG for choosing both the A220 and A320neo families ”.
