There are now 13 more wet lease aircraft in the air for the German airline Eurowings. These are operated by Air Baltic and Avion Express Malta from Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. Just recently, the carrier confirmed that shortly another machine is rented.

The Airbus A220 aircraft type operated by Air Baltic under ACMI contracts is used from Düsseldorf. In the 2021/2022 winter flight schedule, the Latvian company operated from Stuttgart with two aircraft for Eurowings. The two A220s were relocated to the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. The YL-CSE, YL-CSM, YL-CSN, YL-AAQ and the YL-AAR are now in use there on behalf of the Lufthansa subsidiary. For the sister company Eurowings Discover, Air Baltic will probably be operated from May 2022 fly with two Airbus A220 from Munich. Further are from Dusseldorf three Airbus A320s stationed by Avion Express Malta. Just like the Air Baltic machines, these were not repainted in the customer's design. Some of the aircraft are completely white, some of them still have the livery of the previous operator. Avion Express Malta flies from Düsseldorf with the following A320 for Eurowings: 9H-AMX, 9H-AMX and 9H-MLB.

From Stuttgart there are now no A220-300s from Air Baltic for the Lufthansa low-cost airline, which in future will be modeled on Jetblue as wants to position itself as a value carrier, in action. As mentioned, these two aircraft were “relocated” to Düsseldorf. Instead, Avion Express flies Malta with seven A320 for Eurowings. These aircraft are: 9H-AMH, 9H-AMI, 9H-AMJ, 9H-AMK, 9H-AML, 9H-AMP and 9H-AMU. The wet lease cooperation between the two air carriers will be forthcoming to be expanded by an eleventh Airbus A320.
