So far, the Ryanair base in Zagreb operated by Lauda Europe has been showing signs of expansion. But now the low coster is making cuts and is significantly reducing its presence in the months of May and June 2022. A total of 17 routes are affected, on which the frequencies will be greatly reduced.

The connections to Basel and Brindisi, which were only recently started, are to be completely suspended in May and June 2022. There will also be no temporary flights to Sofia. The announced flights to Corfu have been postponed and reduced to July 2022, as the Greek island is only to be served once a week from Zagreb.

The reductions also affect the Germany routes. For example, Ryanair is reducing the frequencies in the direction of Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Frankfurt-Hahn, Memmingen and Weeze. The same applies to Charleroi, Dublin, Gothenburg, London-Stansted, Luqa, Malmö, Paphos and Rome, among others. The British capital is no longer served daily, but only four times a week for the time being. 

It is the second time in recent months that Ryanair has either temporarily suspended or reduced the number of its flights from Zagreb. Sixteen Ryanair routes from the Croatian capital were temporarily suspended in January and February. The carrier has already delayed the inclusion of 24 routes without further communication. These are almost exclusively routes that one would have wanted to include at the start of the 2022 summer timetable period. Most of these were postponed to the beginning of June 2022. A few routes are announced for May 2022. These include Aarhus, Bucharest, Bordeaux, Bari, Bologna, Bergamo, Bournemouth, Birmingham, Gothenburg, Gdansk, Hamburg, Liverpool, Maastricht, Manchester, Naples, Nuremberg, Prague, Pisa, Sofia, Turin, Warsaw and Wroclaw .
