The state-owned airline Aeroflot has resumed non-stop connections to Delhi, India. This was temporarily suspended immediately after the invasion of Ukraine. Russia regards India as a so-called “friendly state”.
Air India, on the other hand, still does not fly between Delhi and Moscow. Aeroflot uses Airbus A330 long-haul aircraft on this route. The "comeback flight" was performed on May 5, 2022.
Local media report, citing Aeroflot's representative in India, that it is expected that more Russian tourists will travel to India. Pharmaceutical products are also to be transported from India to Russia. It is currently planned to fly from Moscow to Delhi on Thursdays and Sundays. The return flights are carried out on the following day.
