LEJ: New air freight handling hall inaugurated

From spring 2023, Georgi Handling will put a new handling hall for air freight into operation at Leipzig/Halle Airport.

The new clearance hall for air freight will be operated by the German transporter as a bonded warehouse with aviation security status from 2023. All types of air freight such as hazardous goods, refrigerated goods and special goods are to be handled in the 15.000 square meter hall area. According to the announcement, the corresponding construction phase of the technology park has now been inaugurated. A few days ago the airline umbrella organization IATA has recertified PortGround GmbH at Leipzig/Halle Airport according to its CEIV Pharma seal of quality.
