Skyalps has been official for a few days a certified airline. The company, based at Bolzano Airport, is now considering setting up additional bases in Italy.
The cities of Verona, Venice, Bologna, Milan and Turin have been considered. These should be shortlisted for the construction of an additional base, the company explained in the course of the announcement that it had received its own AOC. A decision on where to station outside of Bozen has not yet been made. In any case, flights to Rome are planned from Verona.
Currently the fleet consists of four de Havilland Dash 8-400. The 9H-EVA has already been transferred to the new AOC. The remaining copies are scheduled to switch from Luxwing to Skyalps by the end of March 2023. The charter cooperation with the Maltese carrier will thus come to an end. Originally, the company started out as a so-called virtual airline, but has meanwhile acquired one own AOC and own operating license. In the summer timetable 2023 you will be new among other things Dubrovnik and Kassel-Calden head for.
