The Austrian aviation supplier FACC AG is continuing to expand its Croatian factory, which is located in Jakovlje. By 2026, the number of employees there is expected to grow to 600, according to the company.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the factory expansion in Croatia took place on October 23, 2023 in the presence of high-ranking representatives of Croatian politics. The production area of the factory for the production of high-tech components for cabin interiors, which opened in 2022, will be tripled and an additional office building will be built. Construction work will be completed in June 2024, and the workforce will triple to 2026 employees by the end of 600. FACC AG is expecting the project to cost around 21 million euros.
“FACC is a leading aerospace company and an established partner to the global aerospace industry. Due to many factors, we made the decision to build the largest production site outside of Austria here. This has proven to be correct. When we opened in 2022, we announced that we would soon expand the plant. I am very pleased that we are now in the implementation phase of this important milestone for FACC,” emphasizes CEO Robert Machtlinger.
“By expanding our capacities in Croatia, we are setting new standards with a factory that meets the most modern standards. “This location is very attractive for us, especially due to the excellently trained specialists on site and the very good connection to the group headquarters,” says FACC COO Andreas Ockel, describing the growing importance of this location for FACC’s production network.
