In Belgium, Peter Gerber will take over. The manager is currently CEO of Lufthansa Cargo AG. Subject to the approval of the Board of Directors of SN Airholding, he will move to Brussels Airlines on March 1, 2021. Gerber has been with the Lufthansa Group since 1992.
At the Group's cargo airline, Andrea von Boxberg will take over as CEO on March 1, 2021. She has been with the Kranich Group since 2007 and was appointed to the Lufthansa Cargo management committee on August 1, 2018.
“With today's decisions, three experienced and accomplished executives from our own ranks are taking on important management tasks in the core business of our group. Dieter Vranckx worked successfully for the Lufthansa Group in various airlines and on three continents. His enormous international experience and his broad airline expertise make him a first-class cast for the management of SWISS. Peter Gerber has proven in many management positions within the Lufthansa Group that he is not only an outstanding airline manager, but can also bring difficult political negotiations to a good result. He will bring this experience to bear in his new dual role in Brussels. Dorothea von Boxberg has not only played a large part in the current success of Lufthansa Cargo AG as a sales expert. With her experience and know-how, she will further expand the strong competitive position of our freight division, ”explains CEO Carsten Spohr.
