Belgium lifted all remaining entry restrictions on May 23, which means that the 3G rule for entries from Austria is no longer applicable.

There are still restrictions only for travelers from countries with a particularly high corona risk - but Belgium has not yet classified any country in this category. In addition, there is no longer a mask requirement on public transport within the country, as Check24 reports. In Belgium, the protective mask will only have to be worn in medical facilities in the future, including hospitals and medical practices as well as pharmacies. For nursing homes and very busy places, only the recommendation to wear a mask applies.

For travelers from countries outside the EU, Belgium had so far maintained the ban on non-essential travel. This has also been dropped since yesterday, so holidaymakers from the USA, for example, can come back to Belgium. This does not require quarantine, testing or filling out the Passenger Locator Form.
