Positive development in the business travel segment: The business travel platform TravelPerk is seeing increasing demand for international flights in the business travel sector.

The booking data with departure from the four largest German airports show that Zurich is the most popular with business travelers, closely followed by Barcelona and Vienna. But business travelers also focus on Paris and London.

"Thanks to the large number of major banks and insurance companies located there, Zurich is an international financial center of particular economic importance," said Eugen Triebelhorn, Country Manager Germany at TravelPerk. It is therefore not surprising that the destination Zurich is very popular in the business travel market from Germany. “Barcelona and Madrid are also international business locations with important industries. The evaluation of our data shows that international relationships in important business and financial locations are maintained through personal exchange and that important business deals are not made through virtual meetings.
