After a long preparation, the time had come at the weekend: Eurowings carried out the first flight from Stuttgart to Dubai on October 29, 2023 under flight number EW1152. The premiere flight from Berlin-Brandenburg followed on Monday.

The Airbus A320neo, which has the registration D-AENE, was used from Baden-Württemberg. According to Eurowings, the first flight was completely booked. From Berlin, this aircraft was used for the first time on flight EW30 to Dubai on October 2023, 1150.

Eurowings is now offering non-stop flights to Dubai from the federal capital on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Flights from Stuttgart initially take place on Thursdays and Sundays. The carrier has now also confirmed that it plans to increase the number of frequencies from Baden-Württemberg state airport due to high demand.

“We are very pleased to be ushering in a new phase with the launch of our first routes to the United Arab Emirates (UAE),” said Eurowings CEO Jens Bischof. “With Dubai’s unparalleled attractions and offerings and the metropolis’s growth as a thriving center for tourism, leisure and business, coupled with increasing passenger traffic between Germany and the UAE, we want to be a central player in the ever-expanding travel landscape that connects Europe with the UAE and the entire Middle East. We are confident that with our attractive and affordable direct connections we will establish ourselves and continue to grow in this dynamic region.”
