Compared to the same period last year, it grew by 8,4 percent to a good 1,11 million tons, as the airport announced on Tuesday in Leipzig. In October 2020 alone, the airport recorded a new high in air freight volume. Almost 125.000 tons were handled. This corresponds to an increase of 10,9 percent compared to the same month last year.
