From March 1, 2022, Israel also wants to let unvaccinated tourists back into the country. In the future, one no longer wants to distinguish between vaccinated, recovered and unvaccinated. All must present a negative PCR test upon entry.

Immediately after landing at an Israeli airport, you have to undergo another PCR test. Only in the case of your own nationals is it not necessary for such a test to be carried out before you leave the country. Furthermore, unvaccinated Israelis do not have to go into quarantine.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett justified the decision by saying, among other things, that the corona situation has improved significantly and that they now want to take this into account. He also pointed out that without easing, public confidence would be at risk.
