Frankfurt Airport can expect a successful winter of 2023/24. The airport will serve 242 destinations, making the airport the most important international air traffic hub.

Frankfurt Airport can expect a successful winter period in 2023/24. Frankfurt Airport's winter flight schedule comes into force from October 29th and lasts until March 31st, 2024. The flight plan plans to serve 242 destinations around the world; the affected flights are to be taken over by a total of 82 airlines.

In the European flight schedule, two airlines are expanding the flight offering at Frankfurt Airport. The Greek airline Sky Express will operate six weekly flights on the Frankfurt-Athens route. This means a total of 40 flights can be operated from Frankfurt to Athens. In addition to Greece, an expanded range of flights to the Icelandic city of Keflavík is also to be introduced. The low-cost carrier Play is planning to add several weekly flights to the city in question. This flight will result in a flight volume of 13 weekly flights. The airlines Lufthansa and Icelandair will take over further flights on the Frankfurt-Keflavík route.

Flight expansions are also planned outside of Europe. Cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Mumbai and Hyderabad are set to enjoy expanded flight options. The Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro is to be taken over by the German airline Lufthansa in winter. The airline Vistara plans to start six weekly flights to Mumbai from mid-November. These flights are intended to complement Lufthansa's daily flights. In addition, the German airline Lufthansa is expected to resume flight operations to Hyderabad. The airline plans to operate five weekly flights to Hyderabad from mid-January.
