A380: Lufthansa flew D-AIML to Teruel

With the D-AIML, Lufthansa transferred another Airbus A380 to the Log Time Storage in Teruel on Wednesday. In Frankfurt am Main, only the D-AIHM and the D-AIMM remain, which are initially held as reserve aircraft.

The remaining members of the A380 sub-fleet have meanwhile been flown to so-called Long Time Storage. The return to Lufthansa is uncertain, because CEO Carsten Spohr has repeatedly stated that he considers a comeback of the super jumbos to be "very unlikely". However, the manager has not ruled it out entirely.

Lufthansa has a total of 14 Airbus A380s. Two are in Frankfurt am Main, two in Tarbes and the rest in Teuel. The average age of the superjumbos is only 9,3 years, which is significantly lower than that of the A321-100 sub-fleet. This is over 25 years. The Airbus A330s are also older, around 13 years old.

The D-AIME is currently stored there in Spain, the question is whether these aircraft will only be stored or scrapped because Teruel is known for scrapping and not repairs or maintenance, they simply lack highly qualified personnel but you don't have to have a lot of IQ for scrapping. The Spaniards are thinking of a new plot of land to increase the storage space so the information is too weak at the moment and nothing comes from Lufthansa, it would be an unbelievable mistake to scrap the planes, you have thousands of people and man-hours and materials to assemble Transport, so an unaffordable energy to have it as an end product to be scrapped in the end, it hurts so much when I see how easy things are to be scrapped instead of reusing or improving and using them to the limit of life ... In the auto industry is exactly so, new cars, hardly any km on the clock and already under the press, my car 275 thousand km and since 2006 and it drives great, like new and I never think of scrapping and I care for the car, maintenance, hardly any repairs and drive so the whole EU, why should I scrap it? Just because the Greens want to come to power? We will destroy ourselves soon with the mentality of destruction instead of building ... GREEN? NO THANKS…
