Adria Airways' insolvency proceedings are likely to drag on for at least three years, according to the administrator. So far, according to a statement by the lawyer, around 151 million euros in claims have been registered.
Of this, 87,7 million euros were recognized. Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa are among the largest creditors with 6,6 million euros. According to the insolvency administrator, the background here is that advance payments and securities have been made for ACMI services. In view of the fact that Adria Airways had hardly any funds left, the two Star Alliance members should at best get a low quota.
It is also noteworthy that two former managing directors of Adria Airways, against whom the local public prosecutor is investigating, filed claims for 67.600 euros and 47.000 euros respectively. By far the largest chunk is accounted for with 15,5 million open wages of the once around 550 employees. Other creditors include leasing companies such as AeroCentury, but also the engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce.
The proceeds from previous sales and auctions are to be distributed shortly. The wages of the former employees are so-called priority claims. Specifically, this means that they will receive payments before all other creditors. In general, however, the possible quota is estimated to be low.
