The Latvian airline will open a new base in Tampere, Finland, from May 2022. That was announced today during a special press conference.

Air Baltic will therefore start with six direct flights from Tampere, in addition to the continued flight operations to Riga. “We have been operating direct flights from Tampere to Riga for almost five years. Our decision to open a new base in Tampere shows our strong commitment to the city and will provide many Finnish passengers with more convenient and affordable travel options, ”said airline chief Martin Gauss. From May 2022, the airline's planes will fly directly from Tampere to Oslo (Norway) and Copenhagen (Denmark), Frankfurt and Munich (both Germany) as well as Malaga (Spain) and Rhodes (Greece).
