The Spanish airline Air Europa will take over a total of 16 Boeing jets later. Deliveries should actually start this year, but will not be made until next year at the earliest. 14 B737 Max 8 and two B787-9 are affected, according to the Globalia subsidiary's annual report.

The medium-haul jets are now to be flown in between 2022 and 2024. The two Dreamliners, on the other hand, will not be taken over until 2025. Some orders are no longer placed directly, but leasing companies are now eager to intervene. The annual report does not reveal whether these are sale and leaseback transactions.
