Rumors that Airbus wants to bring the A220 to long-haul routes have been around for a long time. Now the aircraft manufacturer has presented a corresponding model, but it is not a version intended for the line, but a business jet.
The "ACJ Two Twenty" should have a range of 10.500 kilometers. This enables, for example, transatlantic flights from Europe to the USA. The main selling point, however, is likely to be the significantly more spacious cabin compared to smaller business jets. The business jet is based on the Airbus A220-100, is 35 meters long and has a wingspan of 35,1 meters. Airbus Canada has already sold six units of the "Two Twenty", which are to be delivered from 2023 onwards.
