AMAG Components and RUAG Aerostructures have signed a multi-year contract under which the largest Austrian aluminum group will supply parts and components to RUAG, primarily for the Airbus A320.
The order has a total volume of 100 million euros, the company, based in Übersee on Lake Chiemsee, announced in a press release. According to its own statement, the reduction of the use of raw materials in production is given priority.
"This important order success with our long-standing customer Ruag Aerostructures in Oberpfaffenhofen in Germany is a gratifying confirmation of our clear focus on special products of high quality as well as our reliability in terms of delivery reliability and service. The combination of machining expertise at the German locations with that of the sustainable production of aluminum input material and recycling in Ranshofen makes our offer unique,” says Gerald Mayer, CEO of AMAG Austria Metall AG.
