The European aircraft manufacturer ATR was able to land several new orders during the Dubai Air Show. For example, Air Corsica decided to purchase five ATR72-600s.
From Japan, Toki Air was enthusiastic about the new ATR42-600S. This is a special variant with special properties that should enable take-off and landing on ultra-short runways.
Afrijet decided to order three ATR72-600. The carrier from Gabon already has two ATR42 and three ATR72 in operation. The fleet also consists of a Boeing 777. The new additions are intended to replace older turboprop aircraft.
