The airline startup To Montenegro will be launched under the name Air Montenegro. This emerges from an official communication from the government of the Balkan state. The new carrier is to succeed Montenegro Airlines.

The latter airline is to be wound up. The current government accuses its predecessors of years of mismanagement and therefore decided to close Montenegro Airlines and start a new state airline. This should initially be called To Montenegro.

However, only the brand name will be adjusted, because the formal company name will remain ToMontenegro doo. However, renaming at a later point in time is not fundamentally excluded. The state wants to help the startup with around 20 million euros. It is planned that two Embraer 195s will be used initially.
