Postponed several times, but not canceled: The connection between Graz Airport and the Lufthansa hub in Munich is back. After a long break, the “comeback flight” took place on Friday.

For the time being, the crane offers up to two daily circulations. Together with the subsidiaries, they also offer Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart in the direction of Germany. The Munich flights to and from Graz are ideally suited to the timing of the Lufthansa hub in Munich (departure in Graz at 06:35 am and 15:40 pm, arrival in Graz at 13:10 pm and 21:40 pm). This gives passengers from Graz connections to the global route network, for example with connecting flights to Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Dublin, but also to intercontinental destinations such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco or Seoul.

“We are pleased that we can connect Graz again to the worldwide Lufthansa route network in Munich. We could hardly have chosen a better time to reconnect, because Corona-related restrictions are slowly falling abroad, and traveling is becoming easier again. So now back to the USA from November. Good news for all private and business travelers from Graz and Styria, ”says Stefan Kreuzpaintner, head of the Munich hub and CCO of Lufthansa Airlines, on the occasion of today's resumption of the connection from Graz to Munich

"With Munich we are again connected to the fifth major transfer airport after Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich", enthuses Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport, "Bavaria itself is one of the economically strongest regions in Europe and is an important partner for many in many areas Styrian technology and business company. After all, there are also many international guests who like to come to Styria via Munich Airport to spend their vacation here ”.
