As if the Lufthansa subsidiary Brussels Airlines had no other worries at the moment, a new company logo is being introduced. This will also be followed by a new color scheme for the fleet. The previously known "Brussels b" is no longer applicable.
In addition to the “brussels AIRLINES” lettering, which is now designed in two lines, the new logo shows numerous red dots. The font was also changed. The carrier confirmed to the Belgian media that it was the new brand identity. The necessary protection was entered in the register a few weeks ago.
The new livery will also be presented shortly. The first aircraft to carry this is an Airbus A319. This was redesigned in the paint shop in East-Midlands in the new color dress. The Brussels media office stated, among other things, that the new logo wanted to appear more modern and the fact that “Airlines” is written smaller than “Brussels” is intended to signal that the carrier is based in Belgium.
The reactions on the internet to the new Brussels logo have been mixed. You can read about praise and successful work, but also about the fact that the Dutch pharmacy shop was inspired. Some critics also write that the timing is inconvenient, as it was not that long ago that Brussels was saved from collapse with taxpayers' money due to the corona pandemic. So it remains to be seen how the market will accept the carrier's new appearance.
