The subsidiary of Munich-based AeroGround, which in turn is a 100 percent subsidiary of Flughafen München GmbH, has once again received a license for the apron handling of aircraft and baggage at the airport in the federal capital.
Seven years ago, AeroGround Berlin started its work in aircraft handling at what was then Berlin Schönefeld Airport (BER). Since the opening of the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport in October 2020, the company has currently more than 500 employees at BER. The company once again has the license for aircraft and baggage handling on the apron in its pocket. AeroGround will therefore continue to be able to provide ground handling services for the airlines at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. The new license starts on December 1, 2022 and is valid for seven years.
"This license win is a great success and credit to all colleagues at AeroGround Berlin. We were able to convince the awarding authority and the user committee with our offer," says Eduard Tissen, Managing Director of AeroGround Berlin.
