Wisag Aviation Service Holding will fill the position of Chief Operating Officer on February 1, 2022 with the experienced aviation manager Carmen Ruck.

She was in the top management of Ryanair for almost 15 years and was responsible, among other things, for the entire operational business in Germany of Europe's largest airline. Together with the commercial director Angela Stuhr, she forms the new management duo of the Aviation division. Michael Wisser, who had previously taken on Backpack's future tasks, will retire from the aviation division in the course of 2022 to work as CEO of the entire Wisag, as the service provider announced.

“Wisag Aviation is the leading independent provider of ground handling services in Germany. It is my motivation to ensure the continued successful development of WISAG in this business area and to actively shape it - I am looking forward to this task. Initially, the focus will certainly be on overcoming the consequences of the corona pandemic, which has hit the aviation sector in particular economically and whose recovery to the pre-crisis level will take some time. But it is also important to prepare for the time after the crisis in order to be represented with innovative and competitive services in a market characterized by dynamism and change. I am firmly convinced that we will successfully solve these challenges as a team ”, says Carmen Ruck.
