Cathay Pacific is constantly expanding the route network to Europe. From December 1, 2022, the airline will also include Zurich in its route network again. A weekly flight is planned for the time being.

Every Thursday from December 1, 2022, an Airbus A350-900 with 280 seats will take off from Hong Kong for Zurich and return to Hong Kong on Fridays. From Hong Kong, passengers can fly on to Australia and Southeast Asia. The airline recently announced that it would increase the frequency of its flights from Frankfurt to Hong Kong to three connections per week in October and November of this year. The plane stays in Zurich for a good 29 hours because it flies back to Hong Kong with the same crew.

“We are very pleased that we can include Switzerland in our flight program again after a long time. Passengers from Switzerland thus once again have direct access to one of the most exciting cities in the world, which forms the perfect hub for trips to Australia and Southeast Asia. Zurich and Hong Kong are two of the world's leading financial centers where quality service is valued, and we see strong demand for travelers with high quality standards - particularly on long-haul routes," said Ashish Kapur, Northern Europe Area Manager at Cathay Pacific.
