The South American Chile wants to open again from the beginning of October 2021. Entry is then possible again under numerous conditions. So far, the state has kept its borders largely closed for around 18 months.

If you want to enter Chile from October 2021, you have to pay attention to numerous things. First of all, it is planned that the full vaccination against Covid-19 must be available. Furthermore, an affidavit for entry (“Declaración Jurada Para Viajeros”) must be submitted 72 hours in advance at the latest www.c19.ci must be filled out. Furthermore, an insurance that covers Covid-19 diseases and has a coverage of at least 30.000 US dollars is mandatory.

At the border control, a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours, must also be presented. In addition, a so-called mobility pass must be applied for and presented at www.mevacuno.gob.cl.

A five-day quarantine must be started immediately after entry. This also applies expressly to those who have been vaccinated. The hotel or a private address must be specified in the electronic entry form. During the first 14 days of your stay you have to report your state of health, whereabouts and any test results to the Ministry of Health every day. Information on this can be found in the mobility pass.
