The attitude of German travelers to business class flights has changed: The demand for flights in the upper class has increased enormously recently, shows a recent survey by the online travel company Skyscanner.

While cheap flights were previously the most popular, business class flights are now increasing significantly. 45 percent of those surveyed said that they are now more willing to book a seat in business class or generally to spend more money on a flight ticket than they were before the pandemic. The reason for this is the desire for more space and comfort on the next (international) trip. The increased demand for Business Class flights is also reflected in the booking behavior of the past few months: Skyscanner recently recorded a clear increase in trips in Business Class and Premium Economy Class - especially after the USA, a popular long-haul destination, pushed its limits for fully vaccinated Germans in November have opened.

The top five of the most popular destinations for business class flights form the coveted bucket list long-haul travel destinations. After around 18 months, Thailand opened its borders to vaccinated German travelers in November. It is therefore not surprising that Bangkok and Phuket take the top spots among the most popular business class destinations for the year 2022. The same applies to the long-awaited opening of the USA on November 8, 2021. The popular city trip destination New York follows in third place among the most popular business class destinations. The trend travel destinations Dubai and Sydney take fourth and fifth place.
