After a compulsory break of around 32 months, a Boeing 737 Max took off again on Saturday for commercial flight service in India. Spicejet used the VT-MXH again. Previously, test flights were carried out over Delhi.
On Friday the Boeing 737 Max 8 with the registration VT-MXH undertook a one-hour acceptance flight. On Saturday this machine came into commercial use again under flight number SG9922. The plane flew from Delhi to Varanasi.
Spicejet did not officially announce the restart of the Boeing 737 Max. This is primarily due to the fact that this pattern had received a worldwide flight ban due to the fatal accidents at Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines. This is still not lifted in all states.
