The Danish regional airline Air Alsie will cease scheduled flight operations on January 19, 2021. The carrier is currently aiming for resumption on March 29, 2021. The charter flights operated on behalf of Lübeck Air are not affected by the measure.

Air Alsie operates the Sønderborg-Copenhagen route under the Alsie Express brand. The fleet consists of three ATR72-500, one of which is permanently in use for Lübeck Air. The other two turboprop aircraft are used on the scheduled route and for charter flights. The carrier plans to operate the currently only liner route eleven times a week from March 29, 2021.

“We have to take care of each other, work from home and see as few people as possible. This of course means that very few people are traveling with us at the moment and that is why we have temporarily suspended flights between Sønderborg and Copenhagen Kastrup, ”Air Alsie said in a statement. The discontinuation of scheduled flight operations is primarily due to the low demand.
