Despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Korean Air has delivered record operating profits for both the fourth quarter and the full year of 2021.

In the last quarter, the South Korean airline reported sales of the equivalent of 2,1 billion euros and a profit of 525,9 million euros. In 2021 as a whole, sales were the equivalent of 6,5 billion euros and operating profit was 1,1 billion euros, as the airline announced in a press release. Korean Air achieved record results in both quarterly and annual operating profits in the company's 53-year history amidst the biggest crisis in aviation. With a fleet of 160 aircraft, the carrier serves 120 cities in 43 countries on five continents.
