According to German air traffic control, there were a total of 2021 flights in Germany in November 174.673. Compared to October 2021, this means a decrease of around 33.000 flight movements. The latest upward trend could not be sustained.

The high demand for flights to the United States of America could not change the setback that the industry suffered in November 2021. Some carriers report that there are significant declines on the short and medium haul routes. For example, Eurowings already has the Start of cutting down the flight plan.

The German air traffic control announced that air traffic could record monthly increases in the summer and autumn months up to and including October 2021. Since November 2021, the trend has been pointing in the other direction again. In principle, the winter in Europe has always been considered complicated from the airlines' point of view, but airports and airlines have expected significantly more from the opening of the United States.
