The long-distance plan of the German Tuifly is on hold for an indefinite period. Nevertheless, there are Tui flights from Düsseldorf to the Caribbean. These are full charters operated by Tui Airlines Belgium with Boeing 787-8s.

It all started on Monday with the Tui’s first intercontinental connection from Düsseldorf to La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Passengers will embark on a cruise with Tui Cruises. The second connection leads to Barbados.

“We are very pleased that we are welcoming TUi on the long-haul route and that we can expand the flight radius of our joint passengers to include two more attractive destinations in the Caribbean. The connections are a wonderful opportunity to swap the gray, Rhenish winter for the Caribbean sun and the varied experiences of a cruise, ”says Ulrich Topp, Head of Aviation Marketing at Düsseldorf Airport.
