According to its own statements, the Swiss holiday airline offers the same capacity on short-haul routes in the summer high season as in summer 2019. There are seven long-haul destinations in six countries on offer.

In July and August 2021, the short and medium-haul routes comprise a total of 48 destinations in 17 countries. In addition to the existing holiday destinations, Edelweiss has added six new destinations to its route network this summer. From July there will be flights to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Reykjavik / Keflavik in Iceland, Preveza / Lefkada and Skiathos in Greece and Tivat in Montenegro will also be served from July.

“We see a great need for holidays abroad among the Swiss population. Due to the increasing demand, we have decided to fly to popular holiday destinations several times a day or with a larger type of aircraft, ”says Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss.

The Swiss subsidiary is currently seeing the highest number of bookings in the direction of Heraklion, followed by Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Mykonos and Tenerife. Punta Cana is currently particularly popular on long-haul routes.
