The Polish state carrier has now finally left the Estonian ACMI carrier Xfly. The 49 percent minority stake was sold to the state-owned Nordic Aviation Group. The Estonian government previously urged this step.
The government wants to bring the Nordica brand back on the line. So far, this had no own AOC, but that of the subsidiary Xfly was used. In the future, the scheduled flights will be carried out by Nordica itself, because it only received its own certificates a few weeks ago. Xfly is said to be active as an ACMI and charter provider within the group, although it cannot be ruled out that it might be flown for Nordica from time to time.
