Eurowings Discover originally wanted to include destinations such as Las Vegas in the fall of 2021. This means that the holiday airline is taking off on its maiden flight to the USA earlier than planned, thus complementing the Lufthansa Group's range of flights to North America. Since the announced withdrawal of the entry restrictions, the group had recorded a veritable boom in demand for flights to the USA.

Tampa has already been served by Lufthansa in the past. From December 16, 2021, the flights will be operated by Eurowings Discover, the Lufthansa Group's new tourist airline. From October 4th, the flights in the Lufthansa (LH) booking systems will be successively switched to Eurowings Discover (4Y).

In the course of the summer flight schedule 2022, Eurowings Discover is expanding its route network from the Frankfurt hub to include four more destinations to the USA as planned: From March 2022, the airline will fly three times a week to Fort Myers (Florida). In addition, from March 2022, Eurowings Discover will be flying to the American metropolis Las Vegas (Nevada) three times a week. At the same time, the holiday airline is adding two weekly flights from the Bavarian capital Munich directly to Las Vegas in its flight program. In addition, Salt Lake City (Utah) in the western United States will be on the flight schedule for the first time with three weekly flights from May 2022. From June 2022, Eurowings Discover will then fly to Anchorage (Alaska) - also with three flights a week.
