OAG's punctuality report shows Eurowings to be the most punctual airline in the world

A great honor for the German airline Eurowings, which has been scolded in the past. The OTP (On-Time Performance) report from OAG Worldwide Ltd, also known as the Official Airline Guide, crowns Eurowings as the most punctual global airline worldwide for July 2021. Of the 8 flights, 658% are on time Landed destination airport. Second place went to the South African Safair (98,3% on 97,9 flights) and third place to Jetstar Asia from Singapore (1% on 093 flights).

American Airlines was the airline with the most operated flights in July 2021. American leads by a large margin (179 flights, 582% OTP) ahead of Delta Air Lines (74,5 flights, 135% OTP) and United Airlines (629 flights, 84,8% OTP).

According to the OAG, Hong Kong Airlines (56 flights, 22.0% OTP), Go Air (7 flights, 193% OTP) and AirAsiaX (28.8 flights, 10% OTP) were the least punctual airlines worldwide.

It is interesting that OAG shows various regional airlines with an OTP rate of 100%:

  • Air Alsie (76 flights)
  • Air Botswana (203 flights)
  • Air Transat (7 flights)
  • Amakusa Airlines (266 flights)
  • Amelia International (70 flights)
  • APG Airlines (22 flights)
  • Cambodia Angkor Air (9 flights)
  • Global Aviation Operations (54 flights)
  • Helvetic Airways (12 flights)
  • Iberojet (26 flights)
  • Norwegian Air International (54 flights)
  • Silver Air [Czech Republic] (106 flights)

The OAG report takes into account around 80% of all scheduled flights worldwide and an arrival delay of up to a maximum of 15 minutes applies under punctual.
