For a whopping 149 euros, you can do a PCR test at Vienna-Schwechat Airport, which promises an evaluation within 1,5 hours. The offer can be used during opening hours without an appointment at the Health Center, located at Office Park 3, opposite Terminal Complex 1/2.

A media release from Flughafen Wien AG shows that the aim is to address passengers and visitors to medical facilities, as well as anyone who would like to receive a PCR test result quickly. However, the "express PCR tests" also have their price, because adults have to put 149 euros on the table for the preferred processing.

The test offer is available from Monday to Sunday, 7.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m. (normal PCR tests and antigen tests until 14.00 p.m.). Registration is not required, the waiting times on site are very short according to Flughafen Wien AG. Also subject to a fee, but cheaper: rapid antigen tests and standard-speed PCR tests will continue to be offered.

The cost of the “normal” PCR test is 69 euros for adults. For children and young people (up to their 18th birthday) there is a charge of 49 euros. The rapid antigen tests cost 25 euros for adults. Children and young people have to pay 15 euros.
