The French airline French Bee announces the start of a non-stop connection between Paris-Orly and Los Angeles. This will initially be operated four times a week from April 2022. It is currently planned that from July 2022 onwards, there will be six weekly circulations.
The carrier plans to use the Airbus A5.700 aircraft on the roughly 350-mile route. It is the first route to the west coast of the United States of America. The company also states that other destinations in this region of the US could follow.
You will enter into direct competition with Air France and Air Tahiti, because both carriers have the destination Los Angeles on offer. In the past, this was also served by Norwegian, but the named airline withdrew completely from the long haul and has shrunk significantly.
French Bee also wants to offer connections in cooperation with Air Alaska. A corresponding interline agreement has been signed with the US carrier. Codeshares are not yet maintained. French Bee uses a total of four Airbus A350-900s on long-haul routes. They are also waiting for the delivery of two A350-1000s. These are to have 488 seats. Other routes that French Bee offers from Paris-Orly are: Newark, Réunion and Tahiti (via San Francisco).
