As of today, Jazeera Airways operates a direct connection between Kuwait and Vienna for the first time.

The airline takes off twice a week from its home airport Kuwait Airport in the direction of Vienna. The new route will be served with an Airbus A320neo on Mondays and Thursdays, initially seasonally until September. Located on the northwestern corner of the Persian Gulf, Kuwait is a popular year-round travel destination with a typical desert climate and little rainfall.

“Flight connections between Vienna and the Near and Middle East are very popular all year round. The number of passengers in these regions is currently almost at the pre-crisis level and with Jazeera Airways, a new carrier is represented in Vienna, which offers even more travel options, especially to Kuwait. We are very happy about the new airline in Vienna and would like to extend a warm welcome to Jazeera Airways,” said Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG.

Jazeera Airways was founded in April 2004 as Kuwait's first private airline. Today, Jazeera Airways serves around 50 destinations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
