The British airline Jet2 has now decided on a successor model for the Boeing planes, some of which are getting on in years. The order went to Airbus. The carrier orders a total of 36 A321neo.

The machines will have 232 seats and be equipped with the airspace cabin. With the latter, the manufacturer promises that up to 60 percent more storage space should be available for hand luggage. A decision has not yet been made regarding the engines.

“Jet2.com will be proud to operate the Airbus A321neo for the years to come. This aircraft is, in our opinion, the most efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft currently flying in the sky. It will provide a wonderfully comfortable and enjoyable experience for our passengers when they fly with us on their well-deserved Jet2 vacation, ”said Philip Meeson, Executive Chairman of Jet2.
