Klagenfurt Airport is auctioning a large part of its vehicle fleet in a total of 41 lots. Those who want snow plows, generators, apron buses or passenger stairs could get their money's worth in this auction.

Highest bidders can buy pretty much anything that is needed on the apron. Even large runway sweepers and tractors can be found in the catalogs. The items currently up for auction wait until October 21, 2021 for online bids.

The equipment is between four and fifty years old. It's an extremely colorful mix. Managing director Nils Witt told the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation that an inventory had been made and that the quantity of the machines and the vehicle fleet far exceeded the demand. At the same time, vehicles with combustion engines are being exchanged for vehicles with electric drive. Witt emphasizes that you will not sell below value.

“Machines and vehicles that are not required are therefore offered for sale via an online auction. The evaluation of the minimum sales price was made after a detailed expert appraisal of the respective objects. No device is sold below its value. Necessary vehicles and machines are of course constantly being purchased. Overall, the streamlining of the vehicle fleet leads to more efficiency, ”Witt told ORF Carinthia.

The online auction is carried out by a licensed auctioneer with this link carried out.
