The previous boss of the Belgian airport Liège was dismissed without notice due to allegations of corruption. This was confirmed by the Walloon Minister of Finance, Jean-Luc Crucke. The Board of Directors held a special meeting beforehand.

At this meeting, all voting members are said to have voted for the immediate dismissal of airport manager Luc Partoune. The auditing firm Deloitte is said to have discovered irregularities beforehand. The manager, who is presumed innocent, is accused of corruption.

According to local reports, advisory salaries are alleged to have been paid to a politician, with no consideration given. There are a total of 40 allegations for which the presumption of innocence applies.
