Kuwait Airways recently signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik AG for comprehensive base maintenance services for Airbus A330ceo aircraft.

The agreement includes six-year checks for a total of four A330-200s, the first two of which have already been successfully overhauled at Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) in Manila. The first two planes from Kuwait Airways arrived at LTP in October and have already been returned to the customer on time. While the third A330 is currently being overhauled in Manila, the fourth aircraft will follow immediately afterwards to complete the overhaul sequence at the beginning of December. The six-year checks - the first in the life of the comparatively young A330 fleet of Kuwait Airways - usually include extensive structural and mechanical inspections.

"We are honored to be able to welcome Kuwait Airways back to our customer base and are grateful for the trust you have placed in us by commissioning comprehensive services for your A330 aircraft," said Tim Butzmann, Senior Director Sales Middle East and Africa at Lufthansa Technik. “Our experts in Manila will overhaul the Kuwait Airways A330 with the same thoroughness and precision that they invest in any aircraft in order to preserve the full value of this relatively young fleet. We pride ourselves on justifying the customer's trust with outstanding reliability and service. "
