The Polish airline LOT is divesting its DHC Dash 8-400 fleet. The last turbo aircraft is to be phased out at the end of next year. This was stated by company boss Rafał Milczarski in the course of a parliamentary hearing.
LOT currently has twelve DHC Dash 8-400s, all of which are leased from Nordic Aviation Capital. According to CH-Aviation.com, the average age is 9,3 years. Ten machines were previously in use at the now defunct Eurolot and some of them still have their livery. LOT plans to start phasing out the turboprop aircraft this year. A precise date for the start of the phase-out has not yet been announced.
