Lufthansa Cargo and WiseTech Global, a provider of logistics solutions, are currently establishing a direct eBooking connection between their systems in order to improve the eBooking process for users of the CargoWise platform for logistics services worldwide.

With the start of the first test runs, the integration will offer CargoWise customers a simplified booking process within their own IT systems that will deliver air freight rates, flight availabilities and booking confirmations in real time, according to the company. The API-based connection increases the productivity of the freight forwarders, replaces manual, error-prone data entry between different systems and thus ensures more transparency and reduces costs.

“We are excited to be working with WiseTech Global on this eBooking connection. In a rapidly changing environment in the air freight industry, the possibility of a direct connection to CargoWise offers our customers booking options via their own systems. Not only do our customers benefit from this eBooking connection through higher efficiency and productivity, but it also enables and supports the digitization of the entire logistics area, ”said Ashwin Bhat, Executive Vice President Product and Sales at Lufthansa Cargo.
