With the D-ABVX, Lufthansa woke another Boeing 747-400 from its slumber on Tuesday. The four-emitter was in the so-called long-time storage in the Netherlands.
Some time ago the crane airline confirmed that eight machines of this type are expected to be reactivated. These should be in liner service at least until the Boeing 777X that has been ordered into the fleet. It is currently expected that the last-mentioned aircraft type will be delivered from 2023.
Two Lufthansa 747-400s were last parked at Twente Airport in the Netherlands. Taking into account the fact that the D-ABVX has been reactivated, there is still a jumbo jet waiting for its "release" from its slumber.
