Lufthansa is taking a curious approach when it comes to the new Ocean platform: Internally, jobs are advertised that are aimed specifically at flight attendants who are currently on short-time work at Mainline.
They can take unpaid leave of absence from the crane and instead do their job with the new long-haul subsidiary Ocean. This emerges from the job advertisements that Lufthansa has distributed on the intranet, among other things. How many are applying for this offer is unclear. The unions VC, Verdi and UFO criticize the Ocean project fiercely and accuse the corporate management of collective bargaining. The salaries known to date are well below those paid at Lufthansa and Eurowings.
